Planning a Future Gift by Beneficiary Designation
Creating your legacy is expressing your values in a way that will help generations to come. If the future you envision includes everyone in your community having an opportunity to age well, you may wish to name Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. a beneficiary of one or more of the below assets to support our mission.
CESI may be named a beneficiary of:
- Bank or brokerage accounts
- Commercial annuities
- Donor advised funds (DAFs)
- Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and other retirement plans such as 401(k)s, 403(b)s, etc.
- Life insurance policies
- Payable on death (POD) and transfer on death (TOD) assets
If you would like to include us as a primary or contingent beneficiary of an asset that transfers according to designated instructions outside of your will or trust, the general steps are as follows:
- Contact your asset’s custodian to obtain the relevant form and any instructions specific to their process.
- On the form, list our legal name, address, and federal tax ID number, as well as the percentage you would like to give.
