Who We are
Since 1978, Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. (CESI) has been offering high-quality, affordable therapeutic day support for older adults with elevated care needs including cognitive and physical challenges. By providing environments for social engagement along with personalized professional medical care and expert support for caregivers, we empower our clients to age well and on their own terms.
Who We Serve
Annually, we support 300+ clients and their caregivers. Our clients have elevated care needs associated with dementia (including Alzheimer’s and Lewy body), Parkinson’s Disease, as well behavioral health needs and cognitive and mobility challenges. Our clients and their caregivers reside in more than 50 cities and towns in the Greater Boston area. CESI clients make 42,000 daily visits to our centers each year.
Where We Serve
Currently, CESI operates two private, nonprofit adult day health centers located in Arlington and Acton, Massachusetts. We provide support for clients living in the Greater Boston area. Check out the map below for a more focused view of our general service area.

What We Do
Our adult day health centers operate Monday thru Friday from 8am-4pm. At our centers, we provide clients with an environment that supports their whole health; one in which they can:
- Build relationships and connections with others.
- Engage in therapeutic activities to strengthen the body, mind and soul.
- Eat healthy.
- Get access to on-site medical care including nursing as well as occupational therapy.
- Get connected to other resources and services in their community.
CESI’s adult day health centers are staffed by a Licensed Nursing team, Certified Nursing Assistants and Geriatric Care Specialists with regular consultation by an Occupational Therapist and Registered Dietician.
